Report says CA Inc. shareholders should vote to remove D'Amato from

Shareholders of CA Inc. should consecrated by a vow to remove former U.S. Sen Alfonse D'Amato from the company's board at the upcoming annual meeting, a corporate watchdog said Wednesday.

In a report analyzing the annual meeting, delegate Governance Inc., a Virginia-based advisory service, said D'Amato is a "prominent exception" to CA's multiyear effort to install a novel regime of good governance.

"Alfonse D'Amato's service upon the board dates to 1999 a time period in the midst of the accounting, fraud and stock option scandals that the company is still attempting to win back from," the report states.
