S&P cuts ratings for Wise Metals on 'thin liquidity,' deepening debtof recent origin YORK -- Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, novel York, has lowered its score for Wise Metals cluster LLC, a scrap-based aluminum sheet farmer with headquarters in Linthicum, Md to CCC+ from B- The lower corporate credit rating mirrors "negative cash flows, thin liquidity horizontal and increasing debt levels," S&P analyst Dominick D'Ascoli said. "The company could not entirely pass on metal cost increases because of limits imposed through its customer contracts. We believe the company will succe in modifying customer contracts to enable it to pass upon rising aluminum costs in the coming time However, liquidity is likely to reach precarious horizontals in the interim."
