Office leasing and sales activity has slowed as downtown Columbus
tries to cope with 350000 sq ft of sublease space upon the market
competing with nearly 260000 sq ft of of recent origin space, according
to NAI Welsh.

Laura Miller, NAI Welsh vice president, says, "It's a major point to be solved [i]or[/i] settled
Sublease tenants are offering discount rentals and parking, making
it difficult for the fresh space to compete."

Even below those conditions, sources look upon the bright side,
maintaining that the economic slowdown has had a minimal impact
on the downtown office market.
