CorrectionOn page 164 of the article "Sexual Harassment and Demographic Diversity: Implications for Organizational Punishment" in the convolution 34, No. 2 Summer 2005 issue of Public Personnel Management, by means of Jacqueline A. Gilbert, Ph.D., Gilbert noted that her application of mind was a partial replication of single conducted by Pierce, Aguinas and Adams. the two Pierce et al.'s 18-item and 12-item scales were from Summer (1991 1996) and Summer and Mykelbust (1992) The original source for all three of the questions used in Gilbert's inquiry however, was Rosen & Jerdee's "Factors Influencing Disciplinary Judgments" published in the 1914 Journal of Applied Psychology In this article, the authors mentioned that controls were asked to determine: (1) the greatest in quantity appropriate disciplinary action for an incident, (2) the seriousness of the incident, and (3) the personal responsibility of the subdue These are the three questions mentioned in Gilbert's study In Gilbert's close attention the page numbers that have been added to footnotes 7 16 42 56 and 57 are, respectively, pages 557 210 23 474 and 119 Other additions include a concern on p. 162 to Jolin's 1994 Crime and Delinquency article, entitled "On the backs of working prostitutes: Feminist theory and prostitution policy." A scenario following the description of hostile environment upon p. 166 in Gilbert's article was included to provide an example of quid pro harassment: An investigative panel at a large corporation has set evidence against Michele regarding sexual harassment toward a female subordinate. Following an increasing progression of harassing incidents from Michelle to a particular employee she last month demot this woman for not sleeping with her. Michelle is an accounting manager who has worked at the company for five years, and this is her first time sexual harassment offense As noted upon p. 165, both scenarios mentioned upon pages 165 and 166 of Gilbert's investigation refer to a large fictional corporation; moreover, the organization name in the couple scenarios has been changed from "Beamish Corporation," to "a large corporation." Reference in Gilbert's article that have been eliminated include the percentage increase of women in management upon p. 164, along with the percentage increase in incidences of sexual harassment upon p. 163.
