The last page - learning coping skills - Brief Article

All I really ne to know about by what mode to live and what to do and by what mode to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate-school mountain, on the contrary there in the sand pile at Sunday gymnasium These are the things I learned.

Share everything. Play fair. Don't hit race Put things back where you rest them. Clean up your have mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you impair somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Warm cookies and cool milk are good for you. Live a balanced life--learn a certain number of and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work each day some. Take a nap each afternoon. When you go on the outside into the world, watch on the outside for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. Be aware of awe Remember the little seed in the styrofoam cup: The lower parts go down and the plant goe up and nobody really knows by what mode or why, but we are all like that. Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and flat the little seed in the Styrofoam cup--they all die. in like manner do we. And then remember the Dick-and Jane volumes and the first word you learned--the biggest word of all--LOOK.

Everything you ne to know is in there somewhere. The of gold Rule and love and basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living. Take any of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult boundarys and apply it to your family life or your work or your management or your world and it clinchs true and clear and firm. Think what a better world it would be if all--the whole world--had cookies and milk about three o'clock each afternoon and then lay down with our blankies for a nap.

Or if all conducts had a basic policy to always bring things back where they lay the foundation of them and to clean up their have mess.

And it is still actual no matter how old you are--when you proceed out into the world, it is best to grasp hands and stick together.
