The state of Oregon is considering a law to require that all retailers in the state exchange "fire-safe" cigarettes, according to KATU-TV.
upon March 3, the Oregon Senate mercantile relations Committee discussed two potential bills that would require fire-safe cigarettes, which proponent argue would save lives because they extinguish abundant quicker.
However, retailers and others voiced opposition saying that requiring these cigarettes would create a logistical nightmare and would lead many smoker to purchase their cigarettes from neighboring states or above the Internet.
