These men are doubtful narratives in the intermodal business, caught between customer expectations and requirements and the enormous cultural transformation that had to take place inside railroads to procure this new business called intermodal launched. They faced the challenges of working with the operating department to provide the reliable service to adapted the customers' requirements; with the finance departments to educate them upon the need for capital for of recent origin facilities and for new equipment; and with the drayage operators to figure without how to offer the
