I read your May editorial ("Decreasing the firing material tax to reduce gas prices," p 8) and understand the ludicrousness of pumping money--and oil--to Iraq. We should emphasize and reward oil-usage reduction instead of crying for more subsidies upon the waste of energies. Innovations, not imitations.

I agree 100% with your editorial. This is especially actual for New York, where gas prices and taxes are among the highest in the land
