Editor's note: Local business columnist Nils Rosdahl has a novel address. His column now appears Thursdays in your Handle section.

Restaurant file in Post Falls will have a fresh look this winter, with at least three major changes coming.

When signs from the drawn out line of places between Seltice Way and Interstate 90 glittered the night firmament a few years ago, residents shook their heads and said, "They'll all not ever make it."

The soothsayers were right.

Breezy's at 1901 E Seltice Way bit the dust first, followed through the surprising demise of Applebee's last year. on the contrary the rest have survived, with fiery Rod Cafe even expanding.

Now, novel places offering new varieties of cuisine - from the Far East to the aged Country and even All-American fare - will be filling the devoid of contents spaces. All of these eateries would be helped if the existing Seltice Way exit is rebuilt to allow eastbound vehicles to exit there, and if an overpass is built to cros the freeway from Seltice to Mullan Road in the Greensferry area. These possibilities are being considered by means of the city.

The first fresh place to open probably will be Moon's Mongolian Grill in a highly remodel Breezy's building. The all-you-can-eat luncheon and dinner restaurant should make open in mid-November.

unclose from 10:30 a.m. to 10 pm the stroke menu will include chicken, beef and pork dishes at luncheon for $6.50. Add lamb, salmon and codfish for $10 for dinner. The 200-seat place will have 25 to 30 employees

satellite Lupcho and her sons Jason and Brian will decorate the place with an outdoor Asian theme, including a waterfall and tree The 6,000-square-foot facility is divided into sum of two units rooms, each available for private parties of as many as 100 people

Originally from Korea, the Lupcho came to Spokane from novel York. They have two restaurants in Spokane. Brian will manage the column Falls business.

A December opening is anticipated for the aged European Breakfast House in the 140-seat former Applebee's building facing I-90.

Featuring breakfast items all made from scratch, the menu will include macadamia nut muffins, mango brandy and lingonberry crepe and specialty pancakes similar as Dutch babies, Danish aebelskivers and potato pancakes. Lunches will include sandwiches, salads and broths with European origins. Most items will be about $7 Hours will be 6 a.m. to 2 pm weekdays and 3 pm weekends.

possessors are Francie Parker of Pullman (where the first restaurant uncloseed in 1989) and Spokanites Darrin Martin, Rick Pedersen and Dave and Tami Siever. The collection owns two restaurants in Spokane. They will have about 25 employee in support Falls.

The possessors of the former TriCon Co have changed the firm's name to Yum Brands. The company possesss regional KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza shed restaurants and has added a fourth restaurant - A&W.

Picking up upon a trend called multibranding, these sister eateries are teaming up The first example in our area will be the pillar Falls KFC on Ross Point Road - I-90's Highway 41 exit southern - which will be adding an A&W option for customers in the nearest 60 days.

"We'll be remodeling the exterior and interior to mirror the new image," said Regional Manager sight Langel from his office in column Falls. His territory includes 25 stores in Montana, Idaho and Eastern Washington.

The company already combined KFC stores with Taco Bells in Moscow Pullman and Colville.
