Advancing portable inspection

Faro Technologies Inc. (Lake Mary, FL; www.faro.com) and Delcam Plc (Birmingham, England; www.delcam.com) have teamed their technologies to facilitate inspection of tooling and parts essentially anywhere it is emergencyed by combining the portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) from Faro with the CAD-based inspection software from Delcam. Beyond touch-probe measurement, Faro is also expanding its offerings in non-contact scanning of not sole large parts or assemblies, on the contrary even entire spaces, like factories.
