No pollution, no business

A sooty vapor consumer - no not someone who purchases cigarettes, but a patented filtering device was being sold to businesses with smokestacks in 1902 to "consume" sooty vapor and keep it from pouring into the air. A Canadian manufacturer selling the proceeds wrote to AM in March with a story about the succes of the sooty vapor consumer.
