Down with voting standards

A paper by the agency of A. Francis Bardwell describing the Bardwell Votometer was reprinted in the June 6 1901 issue of AMERICAN MACHINIST. Bardwell's fresh voting machine promised, "to hinder the possibility of fraud or accidental or intentional disfranchisement of an elector." The voter used the machine by the agency of taking a key, inserting it into the keyhole corresponding to the party or candidate, and giving it a half make go round therefore registering the vote.
