Johnny Dean was injured when a forklift backed into him as he left a storage expanse at his Georgia employer's workplace. He filed a produce liability suit against Toyota Industrial Equipment Inc., which he said was the maker of the forklift, alleging that the forklift was defective because it was not equipped with a backup alarm.
