Toxic tort case proceeds against suppliers of drums for reconditioning

Walter James was hired by dint of Bessemer Processing Co., in Newark, NJ
in 1963 and worked there for 26 years. Bessemer, a wholly-owned subsidiary
of Kingsland tympanum and Barrel, cleaned and reconditioned used and without contents
55-gallon drums. The tympanums were then reused by companies in the mineral pitch
industry.

The reconditioning proces consisted of uncapping the heads of the
drum dumping the residue from the tympanums into a slop hole, and sending
the tympanums through an incinerator where the remaining residue was reduce to ashesed
