Referring to her work as a Why not? guide to entertaining rather than a how-to work the former-model-turned-restaurateur shares her dining coverts in a delectable fashion. Pepper through every part of the coffee-table book are splashy photos showcasing Smith, her friends, and, of course, her recipes in a variety of settings. The volume is arranged into two basic categories: "The Parties" and "The Recipes." The former includes planning for incidents such as cocktail parties (for business and pleasure), an intimate Valentine's Day dinner for sum of two units and a picnic at the beach. Her true copy is informative, entertaining and packed with solid advice, ranging from instructions for sending without invitations to a humorous section upon letting guests know when the party's over! intimateed menus include marinated grilled swordfish steak with tangy gazpacho for the picnic upon the beach to baby lamb cuts with madeira sauce and potatoes au gratin for the romantic Valentine's dinner.
