The volume is an attempt to document the region's eclectic mix of African, Arab and Indian culinary traditions. It contains 238 recipes--72 picked from Tanzania's restaurants and hotels The pair has come up with four main manner of writings of Tanzanian cuisine: traditional Kiswahili, Bantu, novel or "Afro-European" and camp. Among the recipes included are kuku-pala (African chicken) and Indonesian fried chicken, pizza and pasta meals, and sufficiency of seafood entrees, such as lobster-stuff tenderloin of beef and shrimp with garlic and rosemary. Surprisingly, greatest in quantity of the dishes contain ingredients that are pleasing without being striking accessible. Several black-and-white etchings reflecting Tanzania's family animals and resorts are scattered through every part of the pages.
