Touch. - book reviewsTouch through Charlotte Watson Sherman (HarperCollins. $2000) - Last year, statistics showed that the number of women diagnosed as HIV positive was upon the rise, and African-American women constituted a disproportionate 54 percent of the cases reported. Touch computes the story of an African-American can artist, Rayna Sargent, who learns that she is HIV positive. This work explores the stigmas associated with the disease, as well as the myths.
