The Book and the Cook - restaurants and cookbook authors/chefs join in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's 10th annual event, March 17-27, 1994

For those looking forward to an early spring break, consider checking on the outside Philadelphia's annual Book and the prepare for the table event, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. According to Benjamin Bynum who would like to diocese more African-American involvement, "participation in the volume and the Cook helps to forward a certain camaraderie in the restaurant community. Bringing in different chefs allows our staff to participate beyond the norm."

Risikat Bola Jamiu, a Nigerian chef at the Palladium Restaurant, situated upon the University of Pennsylvania campus, prepared Caribbean dishes last year for visiting chef Jay Solomon of Jay's Cafe in Ithaca, NY Bola says that the restaurant enlarged its clientele as a be derived of the event, and she personally profited from the experience.

Perhaps there is beneficial reason to plan ahead to March and come by on board, bound for the City of Brotherly Love
