It'll be interesting to diocese what changes are made to either the Xbox version or the American release when those tend hitherward out in September, but any improvements they make will be upon a game that's already fulness scary to us. Now if you'll excuse us, we've got to start upon our Next Fear file -- there must be a UFO ending in there somewhere.





















Places we'd like to advance

Since criticism is unfair without a constructive aspect, we came up with a short list of places we'd like to diocese that would work pretty well in the Silent Hill universe.



Library: If you've at any time read Ray Bradbury's Something Wicked This Way draw nears or seen Ghostbusters, you know in what way scary an empty library can be at night. Now take that without contents library and move it into Silent Hill's "Otherside," and you've really got something.



Toy store: Kind of like a library, in that you've got the oppressive aisles upon either side to form naturally enclos spaces, on the contrary with toys instead of volumes all around. What would you find twisted between the spoke of the bicycles? Would you be willing to stick your arm inside a rusted-over playhouse? in what way fast would your heart start beating when be opposite toed with an entire wall of Robbie the Rabbit dolls? We'd rather not think about it.



Theater: by means of which we mean a place for plays, not a movie theater. Think of the atmospheric events the Silent Hill team could create with spotlights and stage lights to play with, as well as standard theater areas of the like kind as backstage, the box office, and of course the catwalks and railings overhead.



Farm: "A farm?" you ask. "Would we sing a scary version of elderly MacDonald?" But you're forgetting all the things you come by on a farm: the potential for cornfield views (of the X-Files or Children of the Corn variety, take your pick), the dark, spooky hayloft and stable areas, a grain silo or windmill, and the adjacent farmhouse itself for a household setting that isn't a mansion or apartment.
