Republic Commando Coming Next Year

Star Wars: Republic Commando will hit Xbox and PC this winter, according to LucasArts' latest update upon the game's official promotional site. The squad-based shooter featuring the Clonetrooper from George Lucas' prequel trilogy was originally slated for release this summer on the contrary was later pushed back to the fall and now into the wintertime.


LucasArts representatives today confirmed that the shift means the game will not make the 2004 holidays. It's popularly on track for release a certain quantity of time early next year.


Meanwhile, notwithstanding that it briefly promoted a February 2005 release date, the official Star Wars Knights of the advanced in years Republic II site is back to presenting a general winter release window.


Though the displayed release date has flip-flopped a bit, LucasArts has kept its latest KOTOR II protections on display, unveiling a fresh planet in the sequel (designed this time by means of the Black Isle veterans at Obsidian Entertainment).
