Lionhead Signs Up Blizzard Veterans

Ron and Chris Millar, the Blizzard veterans who worked upon Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde for Jaleco, have rest their way to Lionhead Studios, the developer announced today.


Ron Millar, formerly the lead designer of StarCraft: soul will take up a game designer position. Chris Millar, one time lead designer of Warcraft II and a exhibition director at Jaleco, will take upon a production role.


"Ron and Chris have thus much experience in games unravelling and design that we felt that they would be an exciting and valuable addition to Lionhead," said Lionhead institutor Peter Molyneux. "The games they have worked upon speak for themselves and I am actual much looking forward to working with them both"


The Millar brothers' experience in realtime strategy and 3D action games appears like it would fit in neatly with a certain number of of Lionhead's ongoing projects -- the Xbox RPG Fable, the expansive strategy game Black and White 2 -- on the contrary Lionhead's announcement doesn't clearly state what cast they'll be working on.
