Yoji Shinkawa Designs For New Godzilla Movie

Though movie fans learned of his involvement a scarcely any days back, Konami just freshly took the opportunity to announce that Yoji Shinkawa, the talented character and mechanical designer behind the Metal Gear Solid and ZOE games, will be making his first attempt in the film world in a short time

Shinkawa has signed upon to design the soldiers and war machines of the Earth Defense Force in Godzilla: Final Wars, the nearest theatrical outing starring Toho's legendary King of the wonders He's one of several famous Japanese film, animation, and game artists contributing designs to the movie, which will feature at least a dozen battling wonders in addition to Godzilla himself. The film is slated for release in Japan this December 4

Final Wars, commissioned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Godzilla's first appearance, is helmed by dint of Ryuhei Kitamura, the rising Japanese action director who place his own stamp on the cinemas in Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes. It direct the eyes as if his collaboration with Konami's creators in the game world will continue in his hold film efforts.

"I've wanted to be part of a Godzilla movie since I was a child, on the other hand I never dreamed it could happen," said Shinkawa in Konami's announcement. "There's nothing that could make a Japanese lad so excited!"

The first bit of promotional artwork depicts an undersea warship (designed to plunge and even drill underneath the sea floor), as well as single of the Earth Defense Force soldiers presumably doomed to pitch themselves in futile waves against Godzilla's radioactive storm of anger
