Bandai Announces Zeta Gundam DX

Bandai plans to release an expanded version of its mecha fighter Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam AEUG V Titans in Japanese arcades this summer Famitsu Weekly reports this week. The "DX" edition of the game will feature several novel pilots, mobile suits, and an extra "Kakusei" a whole for more mecha customization.


On the mecha side of things, there's the C variant of the Gaza series, the Titans' Barzam, and the PMX-001 Pallas Athena, among others, while fresh pilots include the Anti-Earth United rule pilots Apori (driving the aforementioned Gaza C) and Robert. The Kakusei a whole (Japanese for "awakening" or something like that) proffers the option to select assault, mobility, and restoration emblems of each suit, further specializing the members of the opposing two-man mobile suit teams.


A PlayStation 2 version of AEUG V Titans (which step quicklys on the PS2-based System 246 arcade hardware) is upon its way to North America late this fall, about a year after the original version's PS2 release in Japan. It's not clear whether the North American release will include the original or the DX version, on the contrary we'll keep an eye on the outside for more updates from Bandai.
