The six editors of 1UP parley up to talk about everything they saw last week, with no shakeed punches and no sacred intimidates










The 1UP staffers are abiding-place from E3. Not yet regained from E3, but home, at least, thus we've gotten together for a chat above what we saw and heard above the three (or four, or actually probably five) days of the show

Here tread on the heels of comments from Editor-in-Chief Sam Kennedy Managing Editor Jennie follow up Kevin Gifford, David Smith, Nich Maragos, and Matt Leone upon the numerous happenings of the exhibit as well as what we reliance to see (and hope to at no time see again) from the Electronic Entertainment Expo of the future

David: Here's individual to kick it off: Worst thing you saw at the show? For me it's a tie between Notorious at Ubisoft
and the Fight bludgeon shinola over at Vivendi. With an honorable mention to EA's completely nonsensical PSP tech demo

Matt: I contemplation you said you didn't diocese Notorious up close?



David: I saw the Notorious trailer, if not the game itself.

Nich: I didn't diocese Notorious, and I can't fault a tech demo thus I say Rumble Roses.

David: diocese now that Nich mentions Rumble Rose I'm conflicted. Fight cudgel is a bad game. on the other hand Rumble Roses shows

evidence of a disturbing pathology in the minds of its creators.

Kevin: There's nothing disturbing about dirt wrestling. It's good, dirty fun! Fight bludgeon is the clear winner here.

Nich: What made Fight cudgel so bad? It direct the eyeed merely mediocre to me.

Matt: Fight cudgel is a bad version of Tao Feng

Nich: Eurgh

Kevin: Online tribe seem to be hating upon the FFXII for some reason.

David: Online clan can lick me. FFXII is scalding;-very warm Yasumi Matsuno backstabbity goodness.

Kevin: on the contrary you're an online person.

Nich: Online family will hate on any novel FF game. People hated upon Crystal Chronicles. People hated upon FFXI.

David: Final Fantasy have the appearances to inspire this weird Pavlovian reaction. It dies down for a while, then flares up
when they announce a of recent origin one.

Nich: Not in meeeee I be fond of them all. Most of them, anyway.

David: I still hate upon FFXI, by the way.

Kevin: Well, I can understand the FFCC hate 'co it's not really abundant of an FF, but FFXII is a demonstrable
improvement upon the series and its battles.

David: I think it's maybe single a demonstrable improvement once you procure a chance to play it. From a distance it's
something of recent origin which people will inevitably direct the eye askance at.

Jennie: is FFXII using a real time battle?

David: Semi-realtime.

Nich: Yeah, it's kind of MMO/KOTOR-style.

David: It kinda plays like an MMO leave out an MMO with decent animation and no lag.

Kevin: Ho ho

Nich: diocese I was happy cause it sort of reminded me of Persona 2's battle a whole But that puts me in a comely small minority.

David: And the cinematic aspects control The bit where Basch stabs his sidekick and you watch the display through his dying eyes is amazing.

Matt: Do we think it says anything about in what manner cynical we are that we start with the 'worst of show' category?

Nich: Nah. We already did the Best of present to view stuff formally. So we're all itching to acquire the worst of stuff
out of our combination of parts to form a whole

Matt: Good point.

Sam: Well, I'll mention one by one you what disappointed me: Microsoft's booth

Kevin: Yer nut

Sam: You walk up the glossy white hallway thinking it's going to be the greatest thing at any time then get inside and
realize it was just a big casino.

Nich: Yeah, it did give not on a vibe like a bank of slot machines, huh?

Sam: Seriously, it was just, like, four long-ass files of TVs. I could just picture nation sitting there pulling
on the lever

Kevin: It was always extremely hordeed yesh.

Sam: on the contrary it just struck me as of that kind a dissapointment. You walk in the white tube feeling like you're about to earn
on some ride at disneyland, alone to find yourself in this pit of gamers.

Kevin: I think you were expecting MS' booth to be like the Playboy Mansion.

Jennie: Sorry, Sam. Should have checked on the outside Nyko and their redheads.

David: the eternal will Nyko just go away? All these ensanguined peripheral companies need to pass away. Hori can stay, because
their Cube pads mastership

Kevin: If it wasn't for Nyko gamers would have plane sweatier palms than usual!

David: Should we talk about Halo 2 now, thus Matt can join in? stripling that Halo 2. The...uh...well, the banners at
the M booth were a little cold

Jennie: Who got to diocese it? In person?

Matt: Kevin and I.

David: In fact though, I think it was smart for M to hold it hidden.

Jennie: Why's that?

David: If it had been playable upon the floor, nobody would have played anything other at Microsoft's booth. They
would have been all, "Forza what? Jade who?"

Jennie: Ha!

Matt: Am I alone in thinking clan were like that about Forza anyway?

Kevin: Well, Bungie's official reason was to detain the 4-on-4 battles ordered; otherwise tribe would be entering
and leaving all the time. on the contrary they could just started a line for Halo 2 then, like Nintendo and Sony's booth

David: Yeah. If they had, like, a TGS-style three-hour wait for Halo 2 that would have drawn.
