Tekken 5

When Namco first showed Tekken 4 at E3 it was in a insinuating manner -- the teaser video showed a not many character models but no real gameplay. When it came time for Tekken 5 to first appearance at the show, Namco whipped up a trailer that not alone showed a bunch of fresh CG, but a good chunk of gameplay footage as well.

In that footage, we've learned of three fresh characters to the series: Raven, the stay first seen on the game's Japanese teaser web site who uses fast kicks including individual air combo that looks impressive and somewhat different for the series, Asuka Kazama, a young girl, and Feng Wei, a larger character that gazes to have a large number of sinewy attacks.

In the teaser video, the animations and interactions appear to be to have been improved, with character change appearing extremely realistic and throws/grapple put in motions looking like the characters are actually in contact with each other. We can't be fully convinced how realistically the game will treat these interactions until we diocese more, but it looks like a promising pace forward.

The video also claims the game will have a fresh graphics engine, and our first gaze at it left us quite impressed. We don't know what arcade hardware the game will use, on the other hand we'd compare the game's appearance more to single of the console versions of spirit Calibur 2 than anything we've seen in the arcades.

At the real end of the trailer, the game present to views a large bear (who we believe is Kuma) dancing backwards upon his toes for about individual second in the snow encompassed by penguins, which leads us to believe the game will incorporate various humorous simple bodys like Tekken games have in the past.

The game will hit arcades in 2004 and dwelling consoles in 2005, though Namco hasn't revealed which abode consoles the game will hit at this point.
