Sony Announces Getaway Movie At Cannes

While Sony's The Getaway: Black Monday made its individual debut at E3 last week, that appearance came single just ahead of the Cannes Film Festival. At the ongoing annual gathering of the international movie business, present to view correspondents report that Sony Computer Entertainment Europe showed the game publicly for the first time in its territory, while Sony Pictures announced that a Getaway movie is also in disentanglement

Word of a theatrical movie based upon Team Soho's interactive movies first arose last year, when Sony stated that like a film was in exhibition to coincide with the arrival of the continuation (which was only rumor at the time). At this point, allowing a release date for the film -- or indeed any other details whatsoever -- isn't available.

The original Getaway was a pleasing without being striking good movie despite issues with its gameplay, in the way that a straight film adaptation would do nicely. We'll diocese if Sony has anything more to say upon the subject in the near future
