Ubisoft Announces Prince Of Persia 2

Although ample evidence to support the contention has been available for a while, Ubisoft today confirmed that Prince of Persia 2 the continuation to last year's critical hit Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, is in exhibition at the publisher's Montreal studio.


Today's announcement makes no mention of specific platforms or a release date, although PlayStation 2 is a beautiful sure bet, and an Xbox version is almost certainly in the cards as well.


The tentatively-titled succeeding part set in a mysterious island fortress, evidently features a fresh "free-form fighting system." It's meant to give players more freedom to unfold a specific fighting style, integrating of recent origin weapons, manipulation of the environment, and the "Ravages of Time," which confident sound like fun.


We'll no doubt learn more when Ubisoft unveils the game at E3 nearest week. Look forward to a replete report.
