Cary Elwes Starring In Bard's Tale Revival

Actor Cary Elwes will accommodate with his voice to the upcoming revival of The Bard's Tale, developer-publisher inXile announced today. He'll play the game's main character, the Bard, when inXile's fresh action-RPG for PS2, Xbox, and PC arrives toward the extreme point of this year.

Elwes has appeared in many film and TV characters over the years, but he's certainly greatest in quantity famous for his role as Wesley (or the Dread Pirate Roberts, if you will) in despoil Reiner's fantasy comedy The Princess Bride.

"He just felt like the completed person to do the Bard," explained inXile's Tom Richardson. "We wanted twisted humor without being campy, and Princess Bride is true much in the same turn of expression as The Bard's Tale."

While the Bard was more a sort of narrator in the classic Bard's Tale games, in inXile's revival he's the main character, in a lightly comic adventure around the Orkney Isles in Scotland in the Middle Ages. The Bard can react to other characters with varying steps of humor and attitude, which affects the course of relationships and the plat accordingly.

The Bard's Tale was just lately shown to the press by the agency of inXile (which will publish the game itself in North America, with distribution assistance from Vivendi), thus look forward to a more detailed preview when E3 kicks not upon next week.
