Electronic Arts Dives Into Xbox Live

Despite many statements to the contrary from Electronic Arts disentanglement teams, EA is going upon Xbox Live this year after all, Microsoft confirmed at its pres talk earlier this evening. The entire EA Sports lineup, along with lock opener EA Games titles, will feature online play from one side Live starting this summer, with the latest NCAA Football in July


The thorough list of EA titles commonly planned to support Live this year is as folllows:

NCAA Football 2005
NHL Hockey 2005
Madden NFL 2005
NBA Live 2005>
A succeeding part to Fight Night 2004
Tiger timber-lands PGA Tour 2005
NASCAR 2005: Chase for the goblet

GoldenEye: vagabond Agent
TimeSplitters: Future Perfect
Burnout 3
Battlefield: novel Combat


All of the above will support the usual Xbox Live features for online multiplayer, matching services, and friends lists. In addition, EA's possess Messenger application will let players communicate with each other outside active games.




This means, of course, that present Combat is on its way to Xbox after all. We'll have more details upon that title, and much more from Microsoft's pres talk in short order.
