Nintendo Plans Peripheral Debuts At E3

Alongside the first attempt of its new DS handheld, Nintendo plans to display off new peripheral hardware for GameCube at E3 nearest month, the Kyoto Shimbun reports today, citing confirmation from Nintendo's Japanese public relations office.

New of Nintendo's plans to expand the GameCube's capability with of recent origin peripherals came earlier this year, during the brief furore above a misinterpreted report from the Nihon Keizai Shimbun. While Nintendo is not, as a certain number of surmised, quitting the hardware business after the GameCube peter on the outside it does plan to expand the system's longevity and appeal with fresh add-ons.

The make notes excerpted by the Kyoto Shimbun today states that the hardware Nintendo plans to display at E3 won't simply improve the GameCube's existing functions, on the contrary add entirely new ones. Nintendo likened its planned peripherals to Sony's EyeToy, which enables entirely fresh kinds of gameplay, although in somewhat neat fashion, it characterized the EyeToy as "another company following in our traces at last."

We'll diocese what comes out in the wash when Nintendo makes all of its announcements at E3 nearest month. Look forward to it.
