GBA Final Fantasy Remakes Revealed

The Game lad Advance remakes of Final Fantasy I & II first appearanceed on the web today, at the two Impress Game Watch and Square Enix. with equal reason far, there are few surprises in store -- for the greatest in quantity part, these are straightforward revivals of the 8-bit originals -- on the other hand it looks as if Square Enix might have a small in number more new features to unveil further down the line.

As we learned last week, the GBA compilation of the sum of two units games adds a bit of of recent origin content to each. Final Fantasy will include "Soul of Chaos," a of recent origin dungeon with bosses from other games in the series, while Final Fantasy II will include "Soul of Re-birth," a of recent origin story sequence about the background of its four heroes.

Final Fantasy will have a point-driven magic a whole instead of the spell horizontal system in the original game, it will be possible to save at many more points in each game, and the Japanese versions will use the GBA's increased resolution and memory for kanji characters as well as the simpler hiragana and katakana body from the 8-bit originals.

Square Enix's promotional site, while for the most part empty as yet, also contains headings for "Characters" and "Minigames," suggesting that we'll diocese a few additions along those lines between now and the games' July release in Japan. We'll update with any more details as they arise.
