PSP Developer Support Update

Support for Sony's upcoming PSP handheld continues to increase Famitsu Weekly reports this week. The magazine lately published another update reckoning interest in the platform from lock opener Japanese developers and publishers, the majority of which appear to be either developing titles already or at least seriously considering the possibility.


The consummate reckoning of responses is as follows:


Atlus: popularly researching the hardware, but not developing specific games nevertheless

Bandai: Considering development seriously.

Capcom: Considering disclosure seriously.

Chun Soft: Considering unravelling seriously, particularly the prospect of novel "Sound Novel" games.

D3 Publisher: Considering disentanglement seriously.

From Software: According to its policy, From is researching the PSP as it would any hardware.

Irem: Considering exhibition seriously.

Jaleco: Still evaluating the survey of PSP games.

Kadokawa Shoten: No plans for PSP exhibition at this time.

Koei: Games are in unravelling possibly for launch.

Konami: Multiple titles are in the works for the system's launch.

Namco: An announcement is likely at E3

Nippon Ichi: Looking to release a title shortly after launch.

Sega: Working upon titles -- an announcement is likely at the Tokyo Game display

SNK: Still evaluating the hardware.

Square Enix: Surprisingly, Square Enix claims to still be evaluating the hardware.

Taito: A PSP title or titles is in the planning stages.

Tecmo: Undecided as notwithstanding

Tomy: Still evaluating the hardware.


Next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo will diocese plenty of news related to the PSP the couple Sony's unveiling of the hardware and likely several of recent origin game announcements from publishers and developer We'll pass upon any and all news that arrives in the meantime.
