Zoonami Announces First Game Title

British developer Zoonami, lengthy the subject of rumor related to a potential GameCube throw out instead announced its first title for multiple platforms these days. In something of a departure for institutor Martin Hollis, who made his name as the husbandman of the shooters GoldenEye and completed Dark for Nintendo 64, Funkydilla is a fresh rhythm action game seeking licensing support and a publisher.

Funkydilla moves to reverse the usual order of things in periodical emphasis action games. Instead of challenging the player to tread in the steps of a specific sequence of inputs locate to music, the idea is to clear a protection full of optional lyrical and musical phrases in any following building a song in the proces Those phrases gradually stack up like the stops in Tetris -- if they hit the top, it's game above

The concept appears a bit like Frequency, although plane Harmonix's game had a certain amount of linear progression to its horizontals Zoonami promises that the finished crops will support two-player cooperative and competitive action (perhaps sum of two units players can dump garbage measures upon each other like the without contents bubbles in Puyo Puyo).

Zoonami's announcement tend hitherwards in advance of E3, where the developer will be looking for a publisher to back the game up with significant licensing support. "Pick a popular artist like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, or Beyonce and their loyal fan base will be all above it," Hollis points out. "Go in other directions, like Usher, Evanescence, or Moby and you have a completely different game, ready for the nearest party, high school event or casual earn together." Each tune and artist would present a distinct visual theme to the game along with their different genre of music.

Funkydilla is designed for "all game platforms," according to Zoonami's announcement, although that will likely narrow down between now and its eventual release (if indeed it finds a publisher to bring it to market). We'll check it on the outside at E3 and deliver a report from the show
