Capcom Closes Tokyo Development Studios

Capcom is closing down the majority of its Tokyo-based unfolding studios, multiple sources at the Game Developer talk report.

While that isn't as plenteous of a blow as single might assume, since the size of Capcom's development efforts are based in Osaka rather than Tokyo, greatest in quantity of the publisher's in-house PC disentanglement section is gone, as well as the Production Studio 6 team responsible for Chaos Legion. The remaining studios that were one time directly overlooked by senior managing director Yoshiki Okamoto, like Capcom's Nagoya studio, have also been dissolved, although many of their staff already reportedly left the company to join Okamoto at his novel company.

Capcom still has a substantial disclosure base at its Osaka headquarters, with equal reason this news isn't quite as bad as it may appear However, we'll continue to go in the rear [i]or[/i] in the wake of more developments in the story as E3 approaches, and Capcom prepares to first appearance a new round of games for the coming year.
