Konami Seeking Bemani Idols?

Konami, always tied in to the latest in popular music sweeps appears to have picked up upon the success of pop-star competitions like TV's "American Idol." Today, the publisher announced a competition of its have to find some new musical vital fluid for its Bemani rhythm action franchise.

The competition has sum of two units separate components -- one, to find a fresh member for Konami's own "BeForU" detonation group, which has contributed melodys to Dance Dance Revolution and other games, and another to find an entirely of recent origin solo vocalist to perform creations by the agency of its internal sound team. Would-be Bemani stars of any age, nationality, or sex (although we guess that living in Japan is a requirement) will be able to apply when the competition kicks not upon in earnest on April 1

On that day (providing, of course, that this isn't more [i]or[/i] less kind of elaborate gag), entrants will be able to apply at the Bemani Audition webpage. We'll detain up with any updates upon the event from Konami one time it officially kicks off.
