Online Fighting In Next Mortal Kombat

Midway plans to release its latest Mortal Kombat fighter in the fall of this year, the publisher confirmed in its quarterly investor discourse call today. Though it has not been firmly titled as notwithstanding the sixth game in the famously sanguinary fighting series is in disclosure for PlayStation 2 and Xbox with online fighting upon both platforms.


Like Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, which featured a substantial archive of unlockable art galleries and behind-the-scenes informantion, the latest game will also include many extras. With the intestines of game's fighting engine largely out and out its developers have been able to focus upon extra content. It will have a separate "conquest" way with action-adventure gameplay, as well as hidden confuse games and board games. Midway also promises interactive stage backgrounds, the two helpful and harmful, so there will be hidden power-ups as well as the usual spikes to fall and impale oneself upon


Midway also confirmed that it will include online play in its upcoming first-person shooter revival of the Area 51 arcade game, in exhibition for PS2 and Xbox at Inevitable Entertainment (the studio responsible for Tribes: Aerial Assault).




Area 51 will be upon display tomorrow at Midway's ongoing pres incident in Las Vegas, but today's discourse call confirmed that Mortal Kombat will not be entirely unveiled until later this year, at E3 In either case, wait for more news as it arises.
