PSX Firmware Upgrade Announced
The release of the PSX multipurpose entertainment combination of parts to form a whole in Japan last December was marred through last-minute changes to the console's specification. As Sony pushed to procure the PSX on the market before Christmas, several features had to be wound due to time constraints. Today, however, Sony announced plans to go [i]or[/i] come back those features through a downloadable firmware upgrade, which will be available starting February 1
PSX possessors can implement the upgrade through downloading it via the system's broadband network connection, on the other hand Sony will also distribute copies upon CD-ROM for users without a broadband connection.
The planned upgrade go [i]or[/i] come backs most of the promised features that were divide [i]or[/i] sever shortly before the system's release. A consummate accounting is as follows:
Dubbing Spe Increase

Still Picture Formats
The PSX will now display still images in TIFF format, as well as JPEG providing they're stored upon Sony Memory Stick media.

USB Keyboard Support
Keyboards that work with the PlayStation 2 will now work with the PSX making it easier to chat in online games.
