Ubisoft Acquires Tork Developer

Though French developer Tiwak go throughed a blow when Microsoft cancelled plans to publish its first throw Ubisoft has thrown the company a lifeline. The makers of Tork, the 3D cave-boy platformer promot end 2002 and early 2003, has been acquired by dint of Ubisoft, and is now individual of the publisher's internal unravelling teams.


Tiwak was originally lay the foundation ofed by ex-Ubisoft development staff, in like manner their return to the pen is something of an ironic twist.


"We are real pleased with Tiwak becoming part of the Ubisoft clump as it will give us the means to carry upon our work in the world of top-quality video games creation," said Tiwak president Yann Le Tensorer. "Nowadays, creating hits requires considerable resources, which Tiwak is no longer able to gather. We in deed believe that by joining the Ubisoft cluster this will allow Tiwak to reach a higher horizontal in terms of quantity and quality, thanks to the expertise and the scale of a first rank group"


Ubisoft's announcement makes no mention of any specific Tiwak titles it plans to publish, on the contrary given Tork's advanced state of unfolding it would be a surprise to diocese it abandoned entirely. We'll gaze forward to more news from Tiwak in short order.
