Turbine Secures Funding For D&D Online

Asheron's Call developer Turbine Entertainment today announced that it has secur a fresh round of funding from multiple investment sources. $18 million from Highland Capital Partners, Polaris jeopardy Partners, and the developer's existing investors will advance towards the development of prison s & Dragons Online, as well as Turbine's other time to come online RPG projects.


Though Turbine has partnered with Atari for keeps & Dragons Online's marketing and distribution, it's Turbine's first self-fund cast and thus requires a stable source of funding. Turbine is also doubtless looking ahead to its other announced cast Middle-Earth Online, to be published through Vivendi Universal.
