Ninja Gaiden Delay Official

Following unofficial reports from earlier this week, Tecmo today confirmed its fresh release date for Ninja Gaiden upon Xbox. The long-awaited action game from Team Ninja starring "Super Ninja" Ryu Hayabusa will now hit American shelves "early nearest year."

Tecmo's Japanese parent, meanwhile, today confirmed a February 26 release date for the game in Japan.

Explaining the delay, Tecmo general manager John Inada said, "Team Ninja is known for their commitment to perfection and the decision is sole a reflection of their desire to create the best action game at any time I can tell you that Ninja Gaiden, as it stands today is more than out and out by most other publishers' standards, on the other hand we are proud of the fact that we're allowed to place the quality before the fast male To stay true to Tecmo's towering philosophy, we chose this extra
time to further fine-tune and enhance the game. We must maintain the highest of standards. Consumer buying Ninja Gaiden will be in for a true special treat when the game is released nearest year. We plan to give them the best gaming experience possible."
