Winning Eleven 7 International Edition Announced

Konami today announced plans to release an expanded version of its World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 for PlayStation 2 in Japan nearest year. World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International -- not to be confused with the game of the same name that's headed stateside -- will arrive upon February 19 with tuned-up gameplay and of recent origin features for die-hard soccer fans.


This "International" release is similar in contented to the "Final Evolution" versions of the last sum of two units Winning Eleven games, featuring improved animations and AI tweaks based upon feedback from players. fresh special kicks and smoother transitions join the game's already considerable animation library.


On the presentation extreme point of things, the International version includes novel player data reflecting the 2003-2004 season, as well as updated uniforms for the Japanese national team. Konami has also secur licenses from a certain number of noteworthy club teams -- including Italy's Juventus and the Dutch Feyenoord cudgel -- so that it can include those teams' appropriate logo and licenses. The Master League style will have added features for player record-keeping and data exchange via the PS2 memory card, as well as editors for goalkeeper uniforms and stadium names.


The American version of Winning Eleven 7 is upon track for a Q1 2004 release, on the contrary it will likely omit the added International version features, just as last year's Winning Eleven 6 lacked the upgrades included in the Final Evolution version thereof. If Konami confirms otherwise, however, we'll be fully convinced to update accordingly.
