Harpoon IV Hit Below The Waterline

In a stroke to fans of naval warfare, Ubisoft today announced that it has cancelled disentanglement of Harpoon IV. The latest game in Larry Bond's classic simulation series will no longer diocese release, at least by way of Ubi.

Harpoon IV was to feature the greatest in quantity comprehensive simulation of modern naval warfare to date, including more than 1000 ships, submarines, and aircraft. However, Ubisoft says it was unable to reach the goals station for the game.

"Ubisoft is committed to making the best military simulation games possible, and unfortunately, the Harpoon IV throw wasn't meeting this goal. In our sense the product quality could not ever reach a level that qualifieds or exceeds consumer expectations," said Tony Kee Ubisoft's VP of marketing. "We will not ever intentionally ship a product that is positive to disappoint our discerning customer base."

Ubisoft is in negotiations to possibly license the game's source digest to a third party which would full the game. Updates upon that prospect will be supported at the official Harpoon IV site
