Network Adaptor Bundles In Japan

Japanese game retailers have rent news of a new Network Adaptor pack-in deal with pitch uponed third-party online PlayStation 2 game releases in Japan this fall. Now that the Adaptor is available by the agency of itself, rather than as part of the expensive PlayStation BB Unit packet three upcoming titles will be sold together with Adaptors at a discount.

The games in question are Bandai and Capcom's Mobile Suit Z Gundam: AEUG V Titans, Capcom's Bio-Hazard Outbreak, and Konami's Karaoke Revolution (although it's not clear whether this applies to individual some, or all six of the Karaoke variants). Karaoke Revolution will be priced at 7980 yen with the Adaptor, while the other sum of two units games will be priced at 8980 yen That's about an $18-20 discount upon the price of both items purchased separately.

The packages will ship alongside the regular versions of the game upon December 4 (Karaoke and Gundam) and December 11 (Bio-Hazard).

These will also be the first PlayStation 2 online titles, aside from Square's Final Fantasy XI, to charge ongoing compensations for online access. Karaoke Revolution tenders fee-based access to an expanded online database of sonnets while the two Capcom-developed games will inaugurate Capcom's Multi-Matching Broadband gaming service, which will charge 900 yen by month (about $8) for access to all of Capcom's online games.

We'll diocese how this helps expand the PS2 online horizon in Japan draw near December.
