Phantom Brave Site Debuts

Nippon Ichi Software, maker of the homage favorite strategy-RPG Disgaea, has released the next to the first stage of the three-part first appearance for its next PlayStation 2 strategy game, Phantom Brave. The original near-empty teaser site has been replaced through a slightly expanded teaser site, with the first protections of the game, the release date, and details upon the limited edition planned for release in Japan.

As leaked by means of retailers recently, the game will arrive in Japan upon January 22, in two versions. The regular version will be priced at 6800 yen (about $60) while 8800 yen (a little beneath $80) will net players a limited edition containing a soundtrack CD and a full-color "setting research materials collection."

The first protections meanwhile, show off some of the distinctions between this game and Disgaea, particularly its change system. Phantom Brave's battlefields are not laid on the outside on a grid, but rather allow independent movement in any direction around the battle field, as in Career Soft's Growlanser. Attack and change ranges are thus defined by the agency of a consistent radius around the pick outed character instead of a number of grid squares.
