By causing Ethan to secure dumped by his steady girlfriend first and then helping him blackmail a teacher who caught him cheating, Lydia has a twisted way of trying to reach her goals. Despite this, Ethan finds himself falling for Lydia, a companion theater junkie, when they share the lead parts in the school play, a novel version of Macbeth. The work ends with a surprising and dark final exhibition of Macbeth. Caught in the Act is a page-turning work with a strong message and stronger deeper characters. I would give it my highest recommendation.
