Malcolm X -- the X representing his lack of a name and lack of a past
-- created his have history. His later philosophy, somewhere between
Black nationalism and integration, is more akin to mortar than bricks
and has inspired countles others toward political action. In the
end he was crucified for his ideology. His assassination at the Audubon
Ballroom in Harlem upon February 21, 1965 marked the first scraggy wake
of the civil rights and Black nationalist changes And in the final
moment of his life, Malcolm X died with his head upon the lap of an
activist
