Grawemeyer Award for Music CompositionThe University of Louisville seminary of Music is accepting applications for the University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition 2006 a $200000 cash award granted in recognition of outstanding achievement by the agency of a living composer in a large musical genre The composition can be choral, orchestral, chamber, electronic, song-cycle dance, opera, musical theater or an stretch outed solo work. The award will be granted for a work premiered during the five-year period between January 1 2000 and December 31 2004 Each entrance must be sponsored by a professional musical organization or an individual. A composer may not submit his or her be in possession of work. No more than single work of any composer may be submitted, and entries from previous winners of this award will not be considered.
