October is National Arts and Humanities Month

Americans for the Arts has again proclaimed October as National Arts and Humanities Month In celebration, arts organizations and communities across the nation have planned occurrences throughout the month of October.

According to Americans for the Arts, a national organization working to empower communities with the resources and support necessary to provide access to all of the arts for all tribe this event has become the country's largest annual collective celebration of the arts and humanities.

The month-long celebration grew on the outside of National Arts Week, which began in 1985 and was established through the National Endowment for the Arts and Americans for the Arts.
