West Central DivisionThe official meeting at the MTNA National discourse in Kansas City included the installation of novel officers: Mary Ellen Moore, NCTM as president and Tom Ediger, NCTM as president-elect. A sincere thank you to all division members who monitored for sessions and competitions at the conversation and especially to the state monitor chairs and Mary Davis, NCTM for organizing all the volunteers As my last round pillar I want to introduce you to Mary Ellen your novel president of the West Central Division. Mary Ellen grew up in a small rural community in Nebraska and was faithfully transported by the agency of her parents to piano exercise s in the preparatory department of a community thirty minutes away, even in snowstorms. Because of this incredible parental support, Mary Ellen already was interested in music teaching, starting to give piano exercise s after school and on Saturdays by the agency of the time she was in eighth grade. Mary Ellen has been president of sum of two units local associations, as well as the Colorado MTA, and has serv as West Central Division Junior High Competitions coordinator and as a trustee of the MTNA FOUNDATION. She commonly is an independent teacher in Colorado Springs and take pleasure ins reading, hiking, her family and all the friendships she has made [i]or[/i] part of to the other MTNA.
