Eastern DivisionEastern Division officers were installed at the new Kansas City National Conference. Debra Martin, NCTM of recent origin York, is the new president-elect. Our featured state for this issue is fresh Jersey. President Deborah Gers has prepared the following article. The of recent origin Jersey Piano Festival evaluated 607 pupils in March. During the March recital auditions, more than 1500 learners were adjudicated during a three weekend period. In January NJMTA held its biennial concerto competition. Fourteen scholars were chosen as finalists. The three winners, who will perform with the Westfield music in April under the direction of David Wroe are Constance Lin Kaita, pupil of Ingrid Jacobson Clarfield, NCTM; Emily Choi, learner of Michael Thomopoulos; and Andrew Nguyen scholar of Veda Zuponcic. The NJMTA discourse will be held November 20-21 at Westminster Choir association of Rider University in Princeton. We are extremely contented to have as our visitant artist John Perry, NCTM, who will guidance a master class and a prelection recital.
